CLEO 2021: Quantum transduction symposium

We are organizing a special symposium on microwave-to-optical quantum transducers at CLEO 2021. https://www.cleoconference.org/home/program/special-symposia/advances-on-quantum-tech/

Invited Speakers

Sunil Bhave, Purdue University, USA Andrei Faraon, California Institute of Technology, USA Robert Stockill, TU Delft, Netherlands Marko Loncar, Harvard University, USA Cindy Regal, University of Colorado at Boulder JILA, USA Jelena Vuckovic, Stanford University, USA The past few years have witnessed steady progress in developing quantum interconnects for microwave-to-optical conversion of photons. Qubit technologies operating at microwave frequencies, such as superconducting circuits and spin qubits, require such quantum interconnects to optical photons for realizing long-distance quantum communication and distributed quantum computing. This symposium will present latest advances and discuss challenges and opportunities ahead for integrating quantum interconnects at the system-level for quantum networking tasks.
